Yeah I agree Jaki, she's got a great voice but it just doesn't work well on that song.

La Roux is a band
| La Roux are a British electropop
synth duo band made up of singer and synth player Elly Jackson, and
co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid, with Jackson describing their
respective roles as "very much a half and half sharing situation... not
like a singer producer outfit", but also recognising that it often can
"look like a solo act" |

She seems like she could be Shirley Manson's little sister. It's too bad there's no room for pop/electro/dance artists in the U.S. That's one great thing about places like Canada, the U.K. and Australia, they really embrace that kind of music. Luckily we have Lady GaGa.

I'm probably gonna get torn apart for this, but never mind.
I saw her when she supported Lily Allen, and she really was terrible. Her voice sounded so high it was unbelievable, and all the words just seemed to blend together. But as a performer, she was pretty dreadful. She spent msot of the 30-45 minutes with her eyes closed. Great audience interaction. When she didn't ahve her eyes closed, she didn't seem to ahve any interest in the audience, she just stared straight ahead, or looked at her band mates and laughed, like they were enjoying some sort of private joke. She hardly spoke at all between songs, I think all she said was "Are you looking forward to Lily?" and that was about it. And even that, she just sort of muttered it while she was getting a bottle of water. I know that she was only a support act, but she could at least have looked like she wanted to be there, instead of just looking like it's something she has to do.
On a brighter note, there was one song that sounded reasonably OK. I just don't remember what it was called.
