Questions about Irvine Shows

|
I had a couple of things I was wondering about the Irvine shows. First one was, I noticed a fan dressed up like the Red outfit that Gwen had on the cover of Tragic Kingdom, I thought that was really cool and wondered if that was a forumer on here. The other thing is at the first Irvine show I noticed Todd Stefani jump down from the stage and walk up the steps and was doing some filming or working with the cameras at that booth half-way up, Did anybody else notice? if so did anybody walk up to him at all? I said Hi, but I didn't walk up to him or talk to him. And I noticed at a couple of the shows Tony's family and I wanted to respect their privacy so I didn't walk up to them, just wondering if anybody did? I did get a chance to talk to Donnie Spada a couple of times, he was waiting by the inner entrance after the merch area and took a pic with me and I talked to Stephen for a bit, but he didn't wanna take pictures. Did anybody else see anybody they recgonized or bump into anybody cool at the shows? I heard Tom came out and handed fans guitar picks early on before all the bands came on, that made me wish I had a pit ticket, I still managed to get a pick from Tom at the second to last show, it was the white one with the stick figure on the back.
I'm going to SLC, Utah May 25th, Irvine, CA July 31, August 1st, and Irvine, CA August 2nd and Irvine August 4th.

i think you mean todd- he does all of the filming.

One of the Irvine nights, I think the first I was sitting by Tony's family. His Mom was giving out candy lol. Then another night, I think the third night the people below us were chatting with Tony's brother, Jenny and Kallie took some awesome stalker photos of him.
and that girl who was dressed up in the TK dress is on here I dont remember her user name though.

I went to a signing with the sounds one night in irvine(as is evident in my sig) but the first night, maybe 5-10 minutes before Tom handed out the guitar picks, he was standing at a vendor cart in the amphitheater by the bathrooms. So after my run up the hill, as i was about to go down the stairs into the pit, i look to my left and i see tom just standing there in plain view, and everybody just walking by or not noticing. I couldn't believe it. So i waited for him to finish talking and said hi to him and his wife and got a quick picture. Then we both parted ways and still noone noticed. btw i had to wait several minutes for him to finish talking and still noone else came. They just kept walking past us straight to their seats or pit. Then i went to the pit and he came out like 5 min later handing the picks. I got a shiny orange one.

That's awesome. Almost every Irvine show I attempted to wait in line for The Sounds signing, but then it got close to when No Doubt was coming on and the long was so long, so I was never able to attend the signing. That's amazing that a place full of O.C. ND fans would just walk by and not notice Tom. That's awesome you met him and got a guitar pick.

The first Irvine show I was sitting like 3 rows behind Tony's family. And then the last Irvine show after ND finished the last song, I started walking from the 2nd row to the main walk-way and I noticed Tony's Mom and Dad in the last row of the center lower section and his dad was smiling really big, I could tell he must have been proud. I was tempted to say Hi or something, but out of respect avioded any contact. I wonder what kind of Candy his mom was handing out?

Lol..... Yeah, I totally meant Todd, I edited my first post, thanks for pointing that out. I kidna figured that he was doing filming. What I'm wondering is what purpose does all the filiming have? for a new live DVD?? maybe... or just for personal use.

seeing how it was todd, probably just personal use or to keep himself busy haha While you never know, i don't think they'll be a dvd for this tour. Just a hunch tho. Wish for the best
ps. When i met the Sounds No Doubt was coming on, i could hear the entrance lol, but there were only a few people in front of me so i waited it out. I only missed spiderwebs, which i'd already seen plenty. I was in line like halfway through the paramore set. The line was long but i rather stand in that than watch paramore again.

i dont think she saw me :( congrats to those she did see and pull up.. but my bf said the boys all caught an eye at me.. he said tony got adrian to check me out that he was peeking threw his drums.. thats enough to make my heart flutter.. best 1st nd show ever!

I have another question for you guys who went. I don't know if I was hearing things, but did anybody notice that during DJ's Gwen yelled "Anaheim" instead of Irvine or O.C.? And also, did anybody notice that Gwen kept calling the venue The Meadows instead of Verizon amp?

She was calling it Irvine Meadows because thats what it used to be called until a few years ago. It will always be Irvine Meadows to me too.
