07-11-2009, 9:25 AM coelacanth7 Joined on 09-01-2005 Ohio Posts 704 I finally met Gwen at INDY show!!!! I will post some pics probably Sunday. So, here is my story... I was in the pit front row with a sign that read, "OLD SKOOL FAN SINCE 1992 CAN I GET MY PIC WITH YOU." During the concert Gwen spoke to me two times. She first said, "Wow, a fan since 1992... that is a long time." Later after that guy danced on stage with her she came over to me and said, "I will get you next." As the concert was winding down I started to get sad thinking that I may have missed my chance when all of a sudden during the last song, she ran straight to me, grabed onto me, jumped the metal barrier, hugged me, then she climbed onto the top of the metal barrier and sang their last song Sunday Morning all the while I held her hand for the last half of the song and she held onto me VERY tight because I was actually the one supporting her from falling off while singing the song!!! She would bend over and was singing it right too me and I would sing along with her.... I am so happy, I am almost about to cry while I type this. After that was over then Adrian came up to me, pointed his finger, then threw me his drum stick! I will never forget this concert for the rest of my life! The only sad thing is that this happened so fast, I was also in shock, that I didn't get my pic with her... if anyone has any pics or video of this event... even if it is a pic of the large screens showing it happening... PLEASE PLEASE post them here or PM me so that I have have that final piece. I was the guy with the red 2004 tour shirt on and had red & green hair spiked up! I also met some formers as well such as TheSimpleGirl. She was by me when this all took place. I also need to give some credit to amynxdx1982 for inspiring me to do this and the plan worked perfect! I love you guys and I love No Doubt!!! The strange thing is that I am also sad because this is now over and it may be the last time I ever meet Gwen;( Take care and please bump this at least until we can see if there are any pics. I thought about giving it to her, but she was holding the mic in her other hand while she sang so she couldn't take it... yes, I have been a loyal fan since 1992... :) This is the best show I have seen yet!    Report

Didnt have my camera out!! But she was using your hand to keep her balance and hold her up, she trusted you, right?? =) Before she grabbed your hand, I could have sworn there were some girls pulling on her arm and into the crowd!! Scary!! Never say never about not having a chance to meet gwen or the band...you never know. Nice meeting you and your wife. =)    Report

I felt very protective of her and she figured it out very quickly which is why she trusted me to keep her balance... as she was moving around I had to keep a firm grip of her hand and even adjust my body weight to counterbalance her movement... I will be mesmerized for a long time because of this experience. She is so nice and clearly loves her fans!    Report

Im sure she's a bit used to it, but still unsettling nonetheless. My friend wasnt a huge ND fan before the show, in fact she wasnt planning to stay in the pit, but she really enjoyed the show and ended up staying up front till the end. I was a little sad I wasnt able to give her the gift I brought her...oh well! Dont forget to send me the pic of us!!    Report

What is the name of the site people use to upload pics then they paste the URL here? Also, the method to post here is the actuall url then ; is that correct? Thanks again and it was wonderful to meet you. I am a very social person and like trying to mix it up... I wish there was a way more dedicated No Doubt fans could hang out outside of the concert environment... oh well, take care...    Report

I actually just joined the forum right now because I got my pictures back and I remember hearing you talk about being a member of the forum...and I HAD to find you! I don't even remember your name but I knew that if someone had a picture like the one I have....that I would want them to track me down! I'm glad you posted this because I was going to make a post to try and find you!!
