I do believe the original intent of the interview was promo for her new album. Her new video was supposed to be released after the interview, but I'm thinking they realized that would look bad. However, I think Rihanna has wanted to break her silence for a while. Her label probably told her to keep silent. I don't think it makes the interview any less legit though. Thanks Randy!    Report

I'm sorry, but i feel that is very ignorant to say. You have obviously never been in an abusive relationship and i'm happy about that.. So you have no idea what it actually does to you mentally. The person tells you it won't happen again and because you "love" this person, you believe them. It's a cycle. You really do feel as if you can't leave. You are broken down physically, emotionally and mentally. I was in an abusive relationship for almost 9 years (ages 16-25). Am i stupid? No. But maybe some would say i am. I just feel people shouldn't judge until they are in those shoes. See how easy it is for them to get out of the situation.. I'm glad Rhianna spoke out even if some feel it's because her new album is out. I hope it helps other women. By the way, Jillybean, I hope you don't think my post is angry.
