I hope they fight each other to the death. The world would be a much better place without them.

you know that ring announcer that says "lets get ready to rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" i forget his name. Anyway thats HIS saying, as in legally his and i know that in order for you to say it, you have to get permission first which probably just means pay him X amount of $$$. Sounds silly, but like it or not its copyrighted and, as a result, you don't hear people on the air saying it all willy nilly. I'm sure it can't be the easiest thing to enforce, but regardless, people respect the fact that its his. Is it kinda lame that the Ellen D show has been doing this forever and is only now gettin heat for it, yeah, but you think i big time show would know better.

Yeah... I thought that if they needed permission, they would had it! That's not cool of the show to not have made sure it was okay for them to do that.
Yet the show's been doing this every weekday for the past 7 years and yet now they want to take action... It's obvious that they waited to build it up...
You're a really pathetic music company if you truly didn't notice your music being illegally played on one of the most successful talk shows for six straight years.

you know I'm actually just shocked that 7 record companys could get together and be civil enough to file the suit. Granted money in all their favors kind is a helping point but still!

This has nothing to do with Ellen, it has to do with the show itself, which to me is logical. HELLO PEOPLE, they're called copyright laws for a reason!!! i don't understand why you guys are mad. Sometimes there are huge law suits over a technicality or something very ambiguous, and that is certainly a situation which merits disdain. But this is clearly not the case. The show broke copyright laws, thats serious stuff. I can't just go and run a red light because i am the only one at the intersection. I'm sure the ellen D show wasn't trying to make a profit or exploit anything or even be unlawful, but the law is the law. Can you imagine the chaos there would be if nobody followed copyright and trademark laws? that would be borderline communism.

really I thought communism would have little to do with entertainment
