Tour posting question for a mod

Hi there
I've just joined the forums (though I've been lurking for a long time!) and I had a question about posting something in the Tour forum. I have just had a friend back out of attending my No Doubt concert with me and I have not been able to find anyone else who can go with me! I wanted to post about this and see if anyone wanted to come with me, but I know there's a rule about selling tickets on the forum. Would I be allowed to post about this problem here or would it be in violation of the rules? I'm not really looking to sell off the ticket as much as I'm looking for someone who is awesome and that I can hang out with at the show and talk some No Doubt!

If you're just looking for someone to go to the show with you and you're not selling then you can definitely post. If you are looking to sell you just need to put it up on ebay or something like that so that you're not directly selling on the forum. hope this helps

It's sort of grey area, so I wasn't sure! Like, I'd need the person to pay for their own ticket, but I'm not just wanting to sell to some anonymous random! We'd be sitting next to each other and since my friend can't go, I'd like to have someone awesome to sit with! I figured I'd ask before proceeding.

then you are technically selling, so put it up on ebay or another auction site and post a link :-)

Do you know if it has to be an auction site or if something like Craigslist would be acceptable? I'm not okay putting my credit card info online-I had an identity theft a couple years ago and I'm pretty nervious about it. I'd really like to just put up a listing, say the price and ask people to contact me if they're interested. I'm not wanting a bidding war (just face value), just the chance to chat to the person a bit so we can be friendly at the show.
Oh my god this is going to become a weird personal ad, isn't it? ;)

craigslist is fine actually! Just make sure that you do the transaction through there and not on the forum so your post doesn't get deleted. Good luck with your selling and I hope you find someone nice to go with!
